Anyone have any luck on scar creams?

I am looking for a GOOD scar cream. I have tried a few and they do not work, I also heard tanning beds will eleviate the look of it as well. Lemme know....

I spent a fortune on some small silicone discs I found online. But when they arrived, I discovered that they had to be affixed with surgical tape. Great. I don't remember what it's called but theres an rx creme made of onions (think it started with an m) that helped me with a major scar. It reduced the puffyness of it completely but not the color. Nothing will lighten a scar from being purple-y but time. If your scars are real old and lighter than your skin I tend to just use concealer.
