New to me disorder

I found out that my picking is a real disorder. My therapist knows and my old psychiatrist, but my doc was not impressed. It make me feel like I am in control when I am picking. I stop when it starts to bleed. Wearing socks helps my feet heal. One of the reasons for my divorce was from picking the skin on my feet. I don't want this to cause another break-up from any would be relationship. So I pickled the skin off my thumb, stopped when it bled and put Neosporin and a band aid on it. Right now my thumb is pulsating. It hurts. I have chronic pain issues in addition to this. I also have a weight problem. I take meds for depression an anxiety. I think it's all tied together

Let's stop the picking , we can do it together :) Try for one day, then two, then three, all the way to 2 weeks. if you can do 2 weeks you can do a lifetime :)

A day is too long. I need it broken down into way smaller increments. Usually when I'm working I don't have time to pick, but it's during down time that it becomes an issue. I guess I need something else to keep my hands occupied. I don't know what to do or how to stop. I'm trying to be mindful with my eating, so perhaps I need to be mindful of picking too. When my kids see me doing it, they smack me. Neither one of them is a picker, which is good.
