Anyone tried finger cots?

My boyfriend suggested I wear finger cots (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finger_cot) when I'm not in public. Has anyone tried this? Does it work? Thanks in advance!

I've tried it before while I slept at night, because I'd often wake up scratching, the worst of the damage done before I'd be completely awake. They worked fairly well, although I found that you couldn't really re-use them so that was an issue for me because a box didn't have that many in them (maybe you can be some re-usable ones though) I had just bought a box of rubber ones at the pharmacy. Also I found I usually woke up scratching anyways because they fell off. I actually prefer just a thin pair of rubber gloves - just like the cots but they don't fall off.

I don't know what finger cots are...but what worked for my daughter was wearing gloves or socks on her hands so she could not use her fingers/fingernails. I made her wear them all day at first. then, she only had to put them on when attempting to pick. She has not picked in a little over a week now. her legs and arms are healed for the first time in months. I'm not sure what finger cots look like...but covering my daughters fingers/nails really worked!!! Try the finger cots. It's worth it.

They look like tiny condoms for your fingers! I have been tempted to buy them many times when I bite my cuticles down to bleeding and they hurt...but I guess that would be good for face/skin pickers too. I think I might just give it a try this time. You can buy them cheap at any drugstore.
