support and expertise to help you stop picking

Hi everyone, I have struggled like you and have learned how to gradually stop picking. Now I have a website where you can find helpful tips on the blog, helpful items in the store, and where you can read up on the holistic health coaching program I run to help people stop or greatly reduce their picking. I have been coaching a couple of people from skinpick who are doing really well and have found the coaching well worth the time and money. (For example see "toomuchpressure" - she talks about her "therapy" which is not really therapy, but coaching with me.) At the website I offer you a free session to see how you'd like working with me. You can find it all at stop-picking.com including a sign-up for my free newsletter, the first issue of which I plan to send out this week. Sending you all love and support, Annette

Hi. I wanted to know what qualifications you hold for this role? King regards.
Hi, good question! Thanks for asking. I am a certified Holistic Health Coach trained by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Those are my "official" qualifications, which I think is what you meant by your question. I also consider my experience as a skin picker and the long struggle learning to conquer it a good qualification, because I certainly have the understanding and empathy that makes my clients feel comfortable speaking with me. Also I have been an educator for over a decade and in my Brain Gym practice, I work a lot one-on-one with clients on their life goals, so I have that experience which informs my coaching practice as well. From Brain Gym and yoga I have also learned unique tools and perspective that informs my coaching practice. I am sending out my first coaching newsletter imminently! Feel free to subscribe at bfrbcoaching.com.
Thanks. As a Psychology lecturer in London, I was curious. What made you decide to quit?
Hmm, do you mean quitting being a biochemistry/chemistry professor, or quitting picking? I'm guessing you mean being a professor, which I think is the same as lecturer in the UK, yes? The simple answer is for me I wanted to help people with their lives rather than their chemistry. Another simple answer is I'd have thoughts when I was walking down the hall like, "If I'm still doing this in 10 years I'm going to die!" Also, one time I closed my office door and cried for 2 hours straight!
