Trying new mask...

So I have been a skin picker for awhile...it was never a serious issue until about 3 years ago but before then I forever remember having a fixation on having perfect skin with no bumps.

Tonight I am trying a new mask to see how it does at healing some of my picking damage on my face. If I love it I will add it into my current routine (which I love) to kick it up a notch. It is by the brand thesis and it's their seaweed mask called mermaids cheek. It's 100% organic and suppose to be an awesome healing mask.

I washed my face with clear pore by neutrogena which is the only non organic product I use but it works for me so I don't want to switch it out! I will follow the mask with my apple cider vinegar toner and fresh aloe.

I'll update this post on how it works. I have a busy weekend and I have a lot of little scabby wounds I would like to heal up so that when I wake up tomorrow I can feel better about my skin and hopefully not pick so by Sunday I am almost all healed.

Okay, immediate reaction: redness has gone down like 75%. Excited to see results in the morning!

This morning everything is painless, dry and healed over...little spots that can be cover with makeup and will probably flake off tomorrow! I think the mask is a win in combination with other products I used and speed up process!!

Okay so this is the start of day 4 with the mask...I have been using it daily because it is so gentle and soothing. My skin seems smoother and less red. I did just pick one spot (first new one since Friday) so I'm curious to see if it helps with open wounds. It's small but open. I cleaned it with acv and now I'm starting the day with my mask before my shower. So far I would say I love this mask...not necessarily an overnight miracle product but it is gentle and healing!

Where did you get this mask? I've never heard of it, but willing to try anything! Especially if it's organic! I've been using witch hazel , apple cider vinager and coconut oil, but sometimes I'll use a mask just to try and get out the impurities in my skin...especially if I've picked because if I don't cover it with something, I'll just continue to poke and prod at it...

Yes I do too so covering it with a mask is a double win in healing! I found it at whole foods!

Dang we don't have a whole foods here. But I just tried the calamine lotion treatment , and my god the difference it has made in only 2 days and 4 times of doing it has done! I had a hole in my chin from a cystic boil I just HAD to mess with... The first day I tried just ACV and with hazel with coconut oil.... And it helped but still had an Aweful indent ... So the next day I tried two applications of the calamine lotion and using with witch hazel after washing it off... It helped immensely and was able to cover it with make up without looking completely horrible... After work I came home and repeated the process two more times, and before I went to bed I just applied coconut oil on my face as a moisturizer... I wake up today and it looks even better than before ... Still red and slightly scabbed. But no more hole or indent and it'll be easier to cover ... So I recommend giving this treatment a try! Read the thread, wounds are healing and scars are fading! It's a miracle thread!

Oh my gosh I'm so happy for you! :) Good to know for future emergencies!! I'll read up. You may be able to order the mask online but honestly if you had success with that then that is great because it is much less expensive and also pretty low in chemicals I believe so it can't be bad for your skin likes one other "remedies"!
