Let's see if I can go the whole (rest!) of February! Join me if you want! :)

Ok. Starting tomorrow, I am going to try and go the rest of February without picking the skin around my nails. I'll post daily updates too so I can keep on top of things and see my progress. Anybody who wants to join me is welcome!

I was doing so well with this challenge until about last week. My face was finally starting to recover when I went at it again tonight. I now get to spend my weekend inside with bandages covering my face. I'm so tired of this vicious cycle. I'm tired of lying to my friends about why I can't go out. I'm tired of letting this disease win, but as much as I want to conquer it, I can't help but feel like a hopeless case. I just don't know what to do anymore :/

hey! don't get yourself down! I know how you feel, I mean this is like my millionth time trying to stop. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start again as the saying goes. maybe set goals like trying to go 1 week, even just 1 day without picking and then reward yourself at the end, like maybe buying a little treat :) Stay strong, you are not a failure just because of one moment of weakness. you will defeat this eventually!xx

thanks :) well, the big thing that works for me is wearing moisteriser on my hands at night under cotton gloves. This helps to combat the dry skn on my cuticles so it's less tempting for me to pick. On the first few days I wrote "Day 1", etc on my hands (in small writing lol) so when I went to pick I would see it and stop. The rest is pretty much willpower :)

Day 20) I feel so proud of myself that I've made it this far. 10 more days and the habit should be broken according to "experts". If i can make it, then I'm going to work on trying to stop picking the skin under my nails aswell. Hopefully I can beat this thing once and for all! Hows everyone else doing? :D

Day 21) wow. just wow. 21 days!! I've kept my nails painted during this whole process, which I think has helped-I don't want to destroy it. Might be a good tip for you guys :D

Day 23 & 24) oops forgot to update yesterday! but things are going good. I had to push back my cuticles the other day which is a BIG test of willpower for me but I have not picked them :)
