Face picking recovery (:

Hello there. I am a 16 year old female and have picked at pimples, blackheads and other imperfections on my face for the past 2 years. I guess I'm lucky that I haven't had this habit for an overly long time, but I need to stop. I was doing really well. It was over one week since I picked, but I picked this morning. Which is weird, because I only normally pick at night. I had a lot of negative thoughts circling my head, but I am going to change that. This is a fresh start. I'm going to document my journey on here and I'd love it if people would share their own with me and share any tips that make breaking this habit any easier. Thanks for reading, looking forward to hearing from you (:

Hi! Im glad you're researching it now and trying to do something about it. Im sure youll find some good advice here and manage to control this habit. Ive myself been doing if for many years and being misdiagnosed with all sort of conditions and only recently found out myself what my problem is called. I think we on the right path to recovery. Good luck to you and strong will power keeping fingers away from your skin :) (I wish myself the same) :)

i just picked yesterday for the first time in over two weeks, and i can't stand to even look at myself right now. i'm just so upset at myself right now. if anyone has ANY tips on how to stop, how to not feel so down on myself, or any and all of the above! it just feels so reassuring to know that there is someone else out there struggling with the same thing as i am.

Hey! Thanks for inspiring me to really make an effort to stop picking. I picked last night and I hope that that will be the last time I ever do it. Good luck to the both of us :)
