acrylic nails

Ok everyone, a friend of mine told me that when she is wearing acrylic nails she cannot pick at her skin. I've hesitated for months to get them. I got my nails done and a full set of acrylic nails later. I cannot pick at all! !!!! Yes it is driving me insane I'm so stressed but hopefully if this works in the long run my urge to pick will not be so intense although in hanging to get them off already. Hopefully while they are on it will give my skin a chance to heal the infections and crap.. I know I'll get the tweezers out really soon but I pick 98% of the time with my nails. It's merely impossible to pick with these acrylics because you can't pick and grab at your skin so much. If anyone else has any good ideas to stop picking, I would love to hear them! :)

I have been severly biting my nails for over 50 years. I put acrylics on 10 years ago when my husband bought me a beautiful diamond for our 10-year anniversary. I used to chew the acrylics off (even chipped a front tooth!), but as the years went by, I have absolutely left them alone. I took them off about 3 weeks ago and bought a baby nail cliiper to even them out and GROW THEM. Didn't work. They are as short as ever, raggy hangnails. I am going back to acrylics. Tonight. I even get them on my big toes in the summer because I have picked my toenails so badly that they are 1/2 the size of a normal person. :-(

Well so far the nails are helping.. every now and then I'll go to the bathroom with a pin and attack my skin. But apart from that I can't pick:( I don't know if I'll keep ontop of it by getting my nails done all the time cause picking is my life and I don't know what to do without it. . It feels fustrating not been able to just unleash on my blemishes wahh :(

Ugh believe me I tried this method to. It last for 5 days or a week the most. I normally have them long to stop picking, and then cut them down. Then get annoyed and take the nails off and start picking again. For me it is a waste of money but if you have strong will power to keep them on and not pick. Girl do it. Don't give up or stop.
