HELP

Hi-I am new to this forum and I have to say it is such a relief to find that I am not alone with this horrible condition. I have picked all my life and missed more events than I can count due to embarassment. I really did some damage to my chin about three months ago--I actually created a huge wound by digging at what I thought was an ingrown hair. Finally I knew I had to see a doctor who gave me an antibiotic--I did all the things that you suggest and it is healing nicely and is very small at this point-My problem however is it still hurts. I can't understand why it is so sore to the touch when it is healing so well. Do you think I damaged a nerve or is this normal? I just want to make it through the day with out feeling my chin throb. I would appreciate your thoughts!

I think you should go back to the doctor, I think he/she would have more knowledge on this.
