10 years of picking my scalp - have I created my own eye tic? HELP

I am 21 years old and for the past 10 years the concentration of my most of my picking has been to my scalp. Recently, I have started to develop an eye twitch or tic in my left eye and it seems to act up when my head picking is at its highest. There are certain spots that when I just put my finger there my eye tics. I'm scared I've damaged a nerve and will eventually have a horrible twitching problem. Could I already have caused another disorder within my peripheral nervous system?>
