Prednisone Helping?!

Ok, so second time this year that I've come down with a nasty sinus infection. My doctor offered me a prescription for Prednisone in addition to antibiotics to help with all the inflammation. Turned it down because it made me irritable last time. But, I did take him up on the Prednisone shot. So...all that to say, last time I had the meds and the shot, my skin looked amazing AND I had no desire to pick!! Same now after the shot yesterday. Anyone else experience this?? Wonder is there anything safer that I could take that would have the same benefits without the other nasty side effects (insomnia, irritability, etc). Anyone have any thoughts?? Thanks!
