Everything you do is just you trying to cope with life. When you develop a coping mechanism that you don't like, you can try to solve what is stressing you or you can try to find better coping mechanisms.

Jake -- You're 14 years old and its AWESOME that you're already connected with a therapist. You're not "crazy" although we all feel that way sometimes. The simple fact that you are acknowledging what you need to "work on", in and of itself shows me that you're NOT A MADMAN.

You're young...and skin picking disorder is a real thing. It's not your "fault" and literally MILLIONS of people struggle with it.

My best advice is to take advantage of therapy -- I know it may seem like a chore sometimes...but really try to open up in your sessions and tell your therapist what's going on -- If you picked that day -- Tell him/her. Your therapist is legally obligated to support you / to help you / not to judge you. Use the sessions for your benefit -- If you're going to be there anyway...might as well get some use out of them right?

Keep your head up buddy -- There's going to be challenges along the way...but if you reach out for help and stop putting yourself down...you'll come out stronger because of all this. Hang in there.
