This is EXACTLY what I experience!! I have found that sugar seems to be the cause and the spots are always on my chin, neck and jawline which I think indicates it's hormonal (read a good article on the link between the two but can't find it now!!). I'm completely refined sugar free but if I ever crack and eat chocolate (85% dark so not even a huge amount of sugar) then this is what happens and it can go on for weeks at a time. I've found hydrogen peroxide stops the itching so I don't scratch as much and just these last couple of days have been taking allergy tablets (cetirizine hydrochloride) which I read is meant to help as it dries out the skin. I do think it's all healing up quicker than normal since I started taking them, but I'm also still picking the scabs off - all the ones I've noticed the white plug coming out of attached to the scab are healing up. The others are just bleeding and continuing to itch. I'm going to stay off sugar forever now once these heal and hopefully they won't come back! Glad to have found someone who is going through the same as I've felt like I'm the only one for so long but sorry too that you're going through it all.

@beckies1185 I seriously could cry with joy right now. I felt like you were describing me 100 % to the point it’s almost creepy! I have never heard of anyone who gets it down to every detail like you do. I would love any and all advice! My biggest thing prior to the white inside the scab is how bad they hurt until I get the hard white balls out. It’s never pimple like fluid either. Running my hands across the bump that won’t heal is excruciating. Then as soon as I break the skin and get the white (hard plug like) thing out it will finally stop hurting and heal. I’m 31 and this has only been the last two years. My doctors all just think I make it up or it’s all in my head:/ I’m so sick of the pain and the lesions that lead to scarring. Ive tried all the go to meds ex and over the counter. Idk what ro do and myself confidence is our the window.

Hello! I have this same skin issue. I have had it for almost a decade now and have determined chocolate of any kind, causes an almost immediate reaction. For me so does yogurt. If I even accidentally ingest a small amount of chocolate it is a surprisingly immediate sore. They start out itching , then swell. The swelling causes the skin to stretch and a thin scab forms. I keep pulling the scabs off and eventually I can see the dreaded white ball. I want to get a microscope and really look at the suckers once they are out, but so far a mag lamp has been helpful in determining the make up of these jerks. Some are small like a tiny pearl, some are maybe a clump of many pearls that molded toghether or some are just bigger. I have noticed tiny , thin hairs coming from one end. Sometimes 1-3 hairs. Some have no visible hairs. They do not want to come out easily and do seem to be attached to the basal layer of skin. They seem keratinized, or hardened, sebum and or white blood cells or tissue. As soon as they are out mine heal super quickly and if there was not too much damage during this cycle, the scars can be almost invisible. Impo, this is an inflammatory response to a cystic type acne. There is inflammation that is pushing the “ball” up and out over time. The ball is most likely a milia or other invasive bacteria or even a vellus hair(thin Facial or body hair) that becomes trapped inside the pore, keratinizes, then must be extracted by your skin forming pus, or other oils and fluids to push it out. I hate them and they make me feel out of control and ruin my complexion. Thru trial and error I can almost control flare ups by avoiding chocolate and yogurt but they still raise their ugly heads from time to time. I have found heat, hot springs, saunas bring them closer to the surface and jiggling and movement kinda jostles them out faster when they are close to surface. But they take forever to get up there on their own while you have to deal with a gross, oozing , giant, painful, unsightly and disfiguring bump that everyone assumes is a big zit. I hope this helps. In my case they are not bugs, worms, fungi, or anything aliens brought here! Much love

so i was reading through this whole forum and read about manuka oil....10 YEARS I HAVE HAD THESE PESTS ALL OVER MY FACE... 3 GO AWAY 2 COME UP... 2 go away 4 come up... GONE 4 DAYS AFTER USING MANUKA OIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am literally crapping my pants after going everywhere and doing everything to fix these. They are like warts on your face and MANUKA oil is no joke.... i think that stuff could remove rust off of a 40 year old tail pipe... that being said.... I don't have one signal sore on my face and my face is healed up like i never had one! IT IS FUNGUS AND I THINK DERMS DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS... YOU WOULD HAVE TO BIOPSY IT TO FIND OUT! i know exactly where i got mine... going to get facials at the asian salons where they most likely don't wash the tools they use on people prior to you.... ewwwwwwwwww...... no one will ever touch my face again but me! truly feel so happy right now!

Miss tee , I find that you state you were in hospital for 3 months and your skin cleared, go home and it starts flaring up again ,that tell me it’s environmental, something in your home is causing your condition, I would rip my place apart there has to be hidden mold.

STOP PICKING!! IT IS NOT ACNE RELATED!! Someone one here mentioned it was a wart with white roots (not plugs)..... Kinda brushed it off but was going to look into it later. I just started a cream on my son for a cluster of small warts he has and i noticed it looks like white plugs under the skin. Started Compound W this morning and it seems like its working so far. I think the reason its not developing into a full wart is because we peel off the "scab" when it gets bad. Good luck <3 you can look up FILIFORM WART also called DIGITATE WART. That is personally what i think it suppose to grow to.

Ive been suffering with this for about 4yrs now... Lost everything I ever worked my entire life for because of this dibilitating issue... Was diagmosed dilusional, psychotic etc... Was even laughed at by dermatologists as I left their office in tears... I became a recluse... I JUST (this week) found the medical explanation for this- & decided to share with anyone & everyone who is interested... It's called Reactive Perforating collagenosis... Please look it up... You are the first person I'm sharing this with....have not yet come across any treatments yet...but, if you do..let me know - I'd greatly appreciate it... Thanx!

Ok so I really get it. I'm not a doctor and have no ability to cure or diagnose any disease but I think you have lieshmanasis it can be many different variations cutanious visceral etc I have it I have two spots that are almost gone it's not a worm but it will over populate the face mites you already have so it's a pain in the rump. Take benadryl it helps itching take pinworm medicine and buy emuaidmax at Walgreens its $25 it makes the tacks rise up and come out clean do not start digging in your face put it on and only take out the ones that come out first try I did this for teo days it's almost gone completely. I hope this helps peace and love xoxo

I suffered an injury a couple years ago and developed an addiction to painkillers and opioids. This in turn caused problems with my immune system and when I would pop a pimple, I would have to deal with a scab that would annoy me and when picked, whiteheads that I needed to remove for the wound to go away. Because I didn't realize the issue with the whiteheads at first, I developed a few cysts. It would be cycles of them filling with fluids over a couple months and then starting to leak, I drain them, and a scab would form over the damaged skin. At first the scabs would just stay for a long time, until I realized it all was connected to these whiteheads under the scab. I found the best method was to use a disinfected needle to break the connection to the surrounding wall, and then use tweezers on the loosened whitehead to pull it out. I had to be very careful because being overzealous and poking too much or pulling too hard and I would be bleeding too much. Ive tried all kinds of aids like Neosporin, alcohol wipes, moisturizers, etc. and found they never helped. I just wonder if there is a way to get rid of the cysts now without having to go to a doctor and spend $500 each to have them removed.

Hello my name is nick I live in San Francisco I had the same problem and I found the truth and the cure on my own because no hospital or dermatologist would help me.... the problem is not hairs or pimples it is hookworms... the scabs never heal and eventually come off to show one or several white dots that when pulled out hurt a bit and look like a litttle white hair follicle....that’s a hookworm ie sandworm, roundworm or what is really a flesh eating nematode.... the hospital wouldn’t help me I had scabs all over my arms before I found out the truth.... then I went to the pet store and got some deworming dog medicine and two weeks later took it again and every single sore that I had for two years healed in two weeks Thank God for google because I would still be suffering if I listened to a doctor.... good luck to all who suffer with this because modern medicine is hiding or ignorant to this truth

What you wrote about the strange white bumps under the scab I have been experiencing the exact same thing. I too have been to a dermatologist they told me it was an inconclusive test they did a biopsy they couldn't identify what it was like I said something was there. If you would like to talk more on this you can reach me by e-mail Douglas6708 @gmail. I have a few theories but would rather not post them online

This is Cystic Acne. I have suffered through it for years! It won't heal until you get the cyst out. Watch Dr. Pimple Popper for a reference!

Last month I had one so deep under the skin in my eyebrow, I could see the muscles under my skin and the structures in my skin. I made sure to get the sack wall out and it hasn't come back.
