Scarring/regrowth question

I've had problems with different types of picking and other OCD habits. So when I was in middle school I used to compulsively pick/dig my nail into certain spots on my scalp, i think it lasted 2-3 years. Around that amount of time. I would also just compulsively scratch my scalp a lot all over. I haven't done this in a while. I still have issues with constantly touching and playing with my hair not being able to stop but not this scalp digging I used to do. Now I don't remember where exactly the spots I picked where. But I've noticed that there are certain spots on my scalp that look pinkish and a little more bare. So I'm thinking that it might be that. I'm just wondering if that's definitely what it is and if there's a chance the hair could grow back, it's been a year and a half maybe two or so since I had this issue.

If you've removed the follicles or damaged them, then hair will probably not grow back in those areas. You could seek that info from a hair growth specialist to see what your situation is and what options are.

Bosley has a hair growth system that has minoxidil....separate needs for male and female. It could be something to look into if you have viable follicles that have stopped producing a hair.
