Online Therapy?

Has anyone here done the website's online therapy? Did it or did it not work? I feel like I've tried everything to stop picking so I would like to try this option but it's a bit pricey and I'm currently unemployed and since nothing else has worked before I'm just worried about spending the money. But if anyone can confirm it works please please let me know

I did the program. It definitely helped me become more aware and lessen my picking, but I am not "cured." You do a lot of reflecting a try to find reasons why you are picking and better ways to manage those feelings. Currently I have been getting chemical peels and that seems to be helping.

Interesting, I've been doing chemical peels on and off for at least 4 years now. They do seem to help to some extent. It just feels psychologically calming to burn off the top portion of skin with acids. Sounds horrible but those who do the peels certainly understand.

There's also Betterhelp, where you can pay weekly. But that counselling is not skinpicking exclusive. What have you tried on your own so far? You can always ask advice on Reddit first while you save up for therapy (can you save up like $30-50 a week?), here's a sub: https://www.reddit.com/r/Skinpicking/

Thanks for that link, I'm definitely going to participate in the forum. I of course have tried quitting cold turkey.....yet here I am so u can imagine how that has gone. I've tried sooooo many products to try to calm and heal my skin. Hydrocolloid bandages are a quick fix for small wounds but it almost makes u feel it's ok to pick because you can just put the bandage on after.....and last year I went to counseling. I looked and researched and could not find anyone that was, I guess a "pro" at skin picking, so I felt the therapist didn't fully understand me. I could be wrong, she was the professional, not me. But I guess since it wasn't helping, I gave up. That's why I'm interested in trying the online program because that's specifically what it's for. I think after that the only other option I have left is laser hair removal (my picking issue is with plucking the hair on my face). And that's super pricey! At this point I'll pay anything to just stop, I just want to know it will work and after so many failed attempts at all the stuff I've tried, I guess I'm just hopeless at this point.
