Prozac; should I take it?

I was just prescribed Prozac from my primary care doctor. This is the first step I’ve taken to find help with my dermatillomania. I don’t feel that my picking stems from depression or anxiety and I’m nervous to start an antidepressant. Does anyone have experience with Prozac for their picking? What should have been my first step?
