I found a really good quote - "Hopelessness can only be overcome by action" - and I think it applies to dermatillomania because it can be really easy to feel hopeless or like you're never going to stop picking. This quote has definitely helped me when I feel hopeless. Usually after I pick I try to do something (action) that is either good for my skin or my health in general. For example, drinking water, exercising, eating fruits/vegetables, etc. Another thing I do is research! Sometimes when I feel the urge to pick I just start reading articles/watching YouTube videos about dermatillomania and that helps. All of those things help me feel less hopeless and more positive. If anyone else feels hopeless I hope this helps. :)) Also, here are a bunch of websites/products/resources that might be helpful for you: 1) https://pickingme.org/blog/ 2) https://kimonskin.com/ 3) https://peaceofmind.com/education/related-disorders/skin-picking/ 4)https://www.stopskinpickingcoach.com/ 5) https://popitpal.com/ 6) https://www.skinpickingsupport.com/about/angela-hartlin/ 7)https://www.stoppicking.com/
