I can't throw the skin I pick away.

Hi, I pick the skin off the bottom of my feet. Ive not come across anyone who can't throw the skin away though. I keep it in a tin hidden away. My partner found it once and went crazy at me and threw it away when I wasn't looking. I was devastated and since filled up another tin with skin. I know its gross and completely weird but I just can't bring myself to get rid of it. I also keep bits of skin in my pockets which also sends my partner nuts when I forget to take them out.
Anyone else do this or have any idea why I do?
