Therapy methods
I utilize time-limited, evidence-based therapies to treat individuals who are experiencing anxiety, mood, behavior, and/or relational difficulties. Some of the work that I am most passionate about is helping people who are struggling with body-focused repetitive behavior, such as skin-picking and hair-pulling. By combining Habit Reversal Training for skin-picking with other empirically-supported interventions, I develop and employ a treatment plan that is tailored to the specific needs of each client.
Description
I received my graduate training in Clinical Psychology from Harvard University and the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium. My scientific research at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University has led me to author a peer-reviewed scholarly journal article and present at multiple national conventions. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of clinical settings, including academic medical centers and outpatient mental health centers. With certifications in Trauma-Focused CBT and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, as well as expertise in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Habit Reveral Training, and Exposure/Response Prevention, I currently employ evidence-based treatments through my work at a group private practice in the Philadelphia suburbs.
