Need Help!

Well, this has finally come to a halt this morning when I began picking at my nose and now half of my nose is scabbed up. If I hadn't used all my sick days at work I would have definitely called in again today. I am so ashamed and this is getting harder and harder for me. I know I cant live this way, especially being a mother of three. I refuse to let my problem become theirs. So I have began looking for help and realized today I may have this condition: dermatillomania. Its nice to know I am not alone in the world but here in my hometown, my life I do feel so alone, no one really understands. I myself don't understand but I am finally crying out for help. I am determined to beat this, if for no other reason, than for my children, I love them more than life itself and they need; deserve a healthy mommy. Until later... JD

You can do it! We all have our specific issues and this community is here for you! I love having this forum as an outlet. If you feel like therapy could be an option, I recently discovered bfrbcoaching.com. The woman is very nice and I'm having a consultation with her soon :) Don't ever give up :)

I am so glad that we have this website and I want you to know I am here for support. Its nice to have someone you can relate to. It's been two 6 days since I last got in my face. Sure I have pulled a couple scabs that were healing off and maybe scratched off a few problem areas on my face but you can really see a difference on my face compared to a week ago and granted its only been 6 days. I'm seeing improvement because I have really been determined. I am trying new things and what I found that really works for me is not looking in a mirror! I am here if you need to talk; message. We're going to get thru this!
