Maya Schonbach
Maya holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Tel Aviv University (Israel) and is currently completing her residency in Clinical Psychology at Ramat Chen Mental Health Center, where she works with both adults and children.
She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Reichman University (Israel) and a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo (Canada). Her research focuses on obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), particularly Relationship OCD, as well as transdiagnostic CBT protocols. She is especially interested in the roles of shame, self-criticism, and emotion regulation processes in obsessive-compulsive and related disorders.
In her clinical work, Maya integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy with evidence-based cognitive-behavioral approaches, including CBT and ACT. She supports individuals struggling with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, OCD, and related conditions.
